《谎言堂 House of Lies》演员Kristen Bell和《网络犯罪调查 CSI: Cyber》演员Ted Danson将参演Mike Schur创作的NBC直接预订成剧的13集喜剧《Good Place》。
　　Bell在本剧中的出演并不意味着她将离开Showtime的喜剧，相反正是因为她在《谎言堂 House of Lies》中的精彩演出才让她有机会出演本剧，因此她并不会顾此失彼。
　　而Danson早在去年夏天就表示，如果有时间的话他非常有兴趣尝试出演一部半小时的喜剧，刚好这时候《Good Place》找到了他，他也从众多剧本中挑出了这一部出演。
　　本剧讲述了Eleanor（Bell饰），一个来自新泽西州的女人，突然一天意识到她自己不是个好人；因此她决定开启她生活的新篇章以学习如何才是真正的 “好”和“坏”，从而弥补她自认为过去不好的行为。Danson将饰演Michael，在各种机缘巧合下，成为了Eleanor为自己设计的自我完善的道路上的导师。
